By: Rian Haswanda
Milk soy is obtained by soaking some soybeans and then grinding them with some water which will give you a resulting fluid that we refer to as soy milk. It is possible to make it in your home and all you need is some simple tools that you will find in every kitchen and of course you will need a machine as well.
However, it is more normal to purchase
milk soy which are sold in cartons and which contain unique flavoring and which are filled with
many vitamins and with calcium. Most people prefer flavors such as chocolate and vanilla and a few manufacturers will even add some thickeners to their product so that the taste resembles that of milk from a cow.
In most cases, this
milk soy will have the taste of beans and this taste is most loved by Chinese but which a Westerner will not find quite so delightful. Depending on the processes used to make this milk you can get a more pronounced bean taste or one that is milder and which can even be totally eliminated.
However, there no doubts the fact this particular milk provides you with
numerous benefits and because of the appealing flavors in which the milk is currently being sold, it has found much favor among the general public.
In a few instances this milk may contain
protein isolates that are derived from soy beans and which will then be mixed with oils, water, sugar and stabilizers which will then make this drink appear to be more milk-like.
Such products are however not very wholesome and so if you can you must take genuine soy milk. Europeans in particular have passed legislation prohibiting manufacturers of the drink from labeling such products as soy milk. The drink is therefore commonly referred to as a
soy drink.
